The International Fund for the Environmental Safety of the Baltic Sea "Clean Baltic" (Tallinn, Estonia)

International scientific-theoretical conference
"ENVIRONMENTAL PROBLEMS AND RISKS OF THE BALTIC REGION"
(to the 70th anniversary of the mass graves of chemical weapons - chemical agents - in the Baltic Sea)
The conference will take place in Riga Technical university, Latvia, November 26th - 27th , 2015.
Scientific world and political personalities of the twelve cross-border to the Baltic Sea countries
and media are invited.
TOPICS OF THE CONFERENCE
1. Baltic region ecological safety problems ( Impact to the health and life and economic activity,
spatial planning , fishing, sailing, recreation).
2. The construction and operation of high-risk ducts: oil/ gas/ power and in particular "Nord Stream".
3. Safe sea born transportation of nuclear fuel and waste .
4. Monitoring as an unconditional element of the prevention of ecological catastrophe.
5. Legislation actualities on environmental protection of the citizens of Europe.
6. The role of international institutions of EU and UN to protect Baltic sea environment from
of WW1- WW2 chemical and explosive deposits . The conference will be attended by international media.
